
Plays by William Shakespeare. These tapes are basically movies shot in British Sign Language, in costume, on location, using some of Britain's finest Deaf actors. As and when we raise enough money, we film another one, thus adding a unique resource to the world of British Literature.The plays are all voiced by Philip Bowen of Eastenders and Soldier, Soldier fame.
The Tempest DVD See how the magic, the terror, the comedy and the romance of the Tempest are brought to life as never before. The tape runs for 2 hr 46min. Please note there is no subtitles.
A Midsummer Night's Dream DVD with subtitles This is probably Shakespeare's most famous comedy. It's a story of spirits, spells, potions, lovers lost and found and was actually filmed in woodland. Many of the cast were also in The Tempest so you know that you're going to see a quality performance. Running time is 3 hrs.
Twelfth Night DVD with subtitles Filmed in one of Wales's finest houses as the setting for Orsino's Palace, this is a sumptuous production which will delight the eye. Running time approx 2hr 30 min. For the first time we have subtitled one of these videos, so you can see Shakepeare's text at the same time as the signing.
